‘The Teenage Brain: guide or inspire?’ | Jelle Jolles

Jelle Jolles is professor of Neuropsychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He directs the Centre for Brain & Learning and actively participates in the dialogue between science and education. The focus in his work lies upon the neuropsychological skills which are essential for learning. He states that ‘active support, structure and inspiration’ by parents and teachers is essential for brain maturation and for personal growth: this vision was elaborated in his bestselling book (2016) ‘Het Tienerbrein’.
